He is equating looks with personality. This goes to Lola's post about what some men look for in women. I really believe if Tim had shown that picture to Lisa years ago he would have had less of a problem. Of course, she is going to give me an earful about that comment for more than one day starting the second after she reads this post. However, I believe it to be true for a number of reasons. "Gotta go with what I know" ;-) (Lisa, your S.O. agrees so go after him first while I batten down the hatches!)
