Images of ONEness.....

Mars:
There is no "image" that works well for mankind. Worshipping "images" - ie. in the form of traditional ego-based religions - is what man's world consists of.
Period.
Worshipping images which are connected to self - infinite forms, versios and varieties of self, EGO, etc.
I'm not discounting medidation or prayer, but I believe man's understanding of what these things consist of is largely channelled through images which we worship. And the greatest image of all which we worship - although few of us deny this occurs - is the image of ourselves.
Man's EGO, by definition, is made in the image of God. EGO wants nothing more, nothing less than for others to worship what it believes, the images it creates, the falsities it seeks to define, label, control, oppress for ONE purpose - to "get" more energy and light from others for it's credit, etc.
India has a rich spiritual heritage, but there's pride there which is centric to this history. It's the same pride - "were're more worthy than" - which infects all of man's "religions". This is THE primal source of all the divisions and separations from the real ONEness of truth which can only come from the ONE God within us.
Notice how when these kinds of discussions get channelled through EGO there's always the element of "competition" - ie. claims of being "right vs. wrong", etc. Well if good the truth of real Love is involved there is no "competition." For competition doesn't exist. Only service to others - ie. love - exits.
In like manner, "images" of worship don't exist in an environment of the real truth and goodness which comes from Love. For an "image", by definition, is something which replaces that which is true. And the more we worship images the less of the truth and goodness behind the ONEness of Love we understand.
But EGO only understands "images" which can be defined and labelled. Why? Because EGO wants to have "control." Why? Because if there is no "control" then this God-opposed "worsphip" of self collapses, etc.
But real Love seeks NO/ZERO control. It knows of NO/ZERO images. Man is not an "image of God" for when we are discussing this from the true spiritual sense He is ONE with God. So there has to be perfect FREEDOM for there to be perfect Love. God gives man the freedom to chose between goodness and evil. God gives man the freedom to conjoin his will with that which he/she loves. And it doesn't matter if this is evil or goodness. For God lets us all decide in the state of perfect freedom which does exist in the temple which is the union of our mind, body, heart and soul.
But getting back to Hindu vs. Christianity. There's is no competition between the two if we understand that everything from Love has ONE source which we are all connected to. So these competing "images" really don't exist. They are all lies manufactured by man's EGO for one simple reason - ie. the need to exert control and power through the production of fear and hatred. And fear and hatred - the opposition of His Love - all begin with these notions of labels and definitions which create/maintain/support these ongoing divisions and separations that define the insanity of this world which is the making of man's EGO.
Who was it who wrote "the simplest things are the greatest."
God's message and His is so sinple, but man has made it complex. Why? Perhaps it's because man's God's are a reflection of man's EGO. Go back to Solon's introductory post which started this thread and ask the question...
"Should God Be Replaced?"
Ask God to "show" you who He is. Ask God to take over your mind, body and soul for His purpose. But avoid confusing this request with any of our/your selfish ideas which only believe in things connected to these controls, conditions, labels, definitions and images which our EGOs create and pass on as truth, etc.
Decide for yourself what this source of light, energy and Love is. In the end there can be only ONE truth - ONE God - behind everything. It makes ZERO sense arguing over what this ONE-thing is if we are all simply willing to knock humbly to ask Him to "show" us what the true/real meaning of His Love is.
And, again, I think I've written enough.

Light, Love, energy, Love.
There is Love in the sidewalk.
There is Love in the trees.
There's Love in a rock.
And there's Love inside of Me.
