California was the most conserving state in the Union even before the energy crisis occurred, We have cut back an additional 10% and will learn to cut back more.

Just this morning on the radio I heard that a man in Texas is raising heck because he found an energy surtax of $3.00/day on his hotel bill.

It will and is spreading to the rest of country so everyone had better start learning conservation measures quickly. At least in Ca we have solar as a viable option and solar can be set up for an individual home. There is some work involved by the homeowners, but they can set up their solar so that they are actually selling back energy into the grid if they are not using all they can produce.

This summer will be interesting for everyone. I'm sure there will be much miss-information dispersed and Bush will try to use it to push his off-shore drilling agenda. However, I can't imagine anyone up here letting drilling to occur off the coast of Monterey or Carmel.....Dirty Harry himself might get involved if he tries to drill near Carmel! LOL Clint has installed solar energy on most of his property but I am not sure about the Pebble Beach Golf Course that he owns with Peter Lynch and another.

I can see the cartoon now......Bush getting ready to sign an off- shore drilling law and Dirty Harry standing over him saying, " Go ahead Dubya, make my day" !
