It's terrible, isn't it. There's an energy shortage, and these neanderthals want to DRILL FOR OIL AND BUILD REFINERIES. And NUKE PLANTS....oh my!

I'm wondering how high energy prices and shortages will benefit the low income and out of work. I'm wondering how it will benefit existing business and the attitudes of prospective entrepreneurs to have such an unpredictable energy situation.

California has a mild climate. It is not that hard to do without the air conditioner or heat in Southern California, especially the areas along the coast where the population is the most dense. We can conserve because it is not a hardship or a health hazard.

Dear patricia, the only difference between California and all California's energy conservation as number 1, the distinction is the Only state with a bankrupt utility and the only state with 30 days of rolling blackout predicted. California's ability to grow it's economy has been dealt a crushing blow.

As to solar or any other power, anyone anywhere can invest 50k to save a few K in money annually. But why do it in California electricity is cheap and paid for by you for everyone else. And the 50K I was speaking of was not for self sufficiency with alternative sources. It's was for supplemental.

Patricia, you are a technical illiterate and you seem to wish to continue to live somewhere on the yellow brick road.
