>> Do these analysts have to eat crow when Amazon files Chapter 11 or do they just move on?

Glenn, The analysts might be able to just ignore amazon's demise when it happens. But what about the fund that owns 40 million shares ? A bankruptcy would destroy that fund. One has to think that manager is also doing some math. Since Barrons published that interview three weeks ago, amzn is up 100%. That's $300 million appreciation in that fund alone. Even your fabulous brcd did not do as well. Though it did quite well.

Glenn, I suggest you read the latest issue of Business Week.
The cover story "THE NUMBERS GAME". Companies use every trick to pump earnings and fool investors. The latest abuse: "Pro forma" reporting.
Then they get into EBITDA. What a scam!
