OT Hi GV, the joys of power

Yet another power outage struck us at work today. We kept working (our offices have windows), but the air started to get bad. I never get sleepy in the afternoon, but all of a sudden I got incredibly sleepy after an hour, and so did another person by my office. Probably the oxygen wasn't the best. The air circulator had stopped. I said we should probably step out and get some fresh air, but they said it was no big deal and just kept working, even though one person's head looked like it was ready to drop into his lap -this is a first. The air was better outside even though it was 97 degrees. Some of us went outside after awhile and worked. I spoke with one of the other businesses in the office complex and suggested the property manager look into a generator.

After 3 hours of no power, I got in my car to find a restroom to use (that had electricity) and discovered the roads were packed (everyone else was leaving work). This is great for our GDP.

Fortunately, the office real estate market isn't doing well, which I think should translate into a free generator for our office complex. I wonder how much they cost to operate for a few hours?

Regards,
Amy J
