There was some doubt among investors on Dell's strategy of aggressive cost cutting.
That is what I wondering about a few days ago. Why would Dell be shooting itself in the foot as so many analysts were hinting at?
Apparently, that was not the plan...surprise! <g>

They are just kicking butt!

Smart management that knows what to do in a tough environment. That strategy and execution should be worth a premium (in terms of stock price).

I like this comment below:

Dell is refining its cost structure to profitably gain share in a challenging marketplace and best position itself for eventual economic and industry improvement.

Everyone is talking about an economic recovery but I don't see any comments on what that means for the PC makers. I would think that it is very positive, especially for Dell, which is again making itself more efficient in tough times.

Now we can probably see a ramp up in the stock into earnings. It had stayed quiet for a while as the rest of the Naz was headed up.....it is now time to catch up!
If there is some hint of recovery in the economy, Dell has a long way to go (higher).

Many new products being launched by Microsoft is going to help increase demand. I don't believe the market has factored that into Dell's price yet.
