Sig, RE: The carnage, the senseless slaughter. 26.5 mm extra shorts in April. They knew Dell would miss.. I,I, I, I- cant watch....Well, maybe just a peek Yep, up $1.

...and those extra shorts were short as of 15 April, when the price of was yet another $1 higher than the current price.

Sig, Shorts still paint the PC sector with the same brush.
I would bet the shorting got even more aggressive after the April numbers were out. April short interest is based upon trades placed April 9. The weakness in Dell continued beyond this date while even value managers were buying the stock.
I wonder who was selling....Oh, I get it...it was the "shorts". Now they may be about to lose their "shirt".
OK..maybe I am going a little overboard.<g>

Still feel that the shorting did not stop in late April and the number of shorts caught on the wrong has only increased later in April, especially as Dell starting looking weak technically at times. Technical weakness attracts a lot of short sellers.

I am expecting to see the mid 30s before the earnings.
