sam_o,
i was just checking out prices on the dell website today. actaully i was looking at the refurbished units sporting last quarter's clock speeds. gosh, memory is cheap!!! almost no price difference between 256M and 512M. I want a dual processor model, but didn't find any listed. Methinks that compaq and gateway are toast.

sam- better yet, speaking of games companies play.. How about lay off a ton of workers to make your numbers, and pray things get magically better in 2 quarters?

I think alot of these guys are buying themselves time.. How much can you cut before you start sacrificing the business?
