I think it is silly to pretend that urban street culture is the standard for blackness. I grew up in an integrated area. Only the black equivalent of greasers were "down", the other black kids I knew were pretty middle class.......

Those streets you say you're afraid of walking down, I grew up in. And you are suffering from what I would describe as a liberal phony ignorant view of the world.

Earth to Scumbria, here's a flash for you...

1. All blacks don't talk alike.
2. All blacks don't think alike.

Wake up and smell the real cultural diversity that surrounds America. Because your view is severely jaundiced.

You speak of welcoming diversity and then talk about blacks with petulant stereotypic ideals.
