McViegh made my life more difficult because shortly after his little escapade I needed ID to get to my office and if I forget it I have to go through a metal detector that my suspenders always set off. To me he's just a misguided terrorist and I don't give a mouse's patutie if he has some kind of manifesto against the government at Waco and Ruby Ridge. He's getting what he deserves. His manifesto is no less illogical than Ted Kaszinski's. They're both whacko.

The same goes for abortion-clinic whackos of both persuasions. I don't cotton to abortion, but to me it's no better or worse than murdering a doctor who does it. (I will not debate abortion with any one. It's just not my issue and I have no energy to devote to it.)

I don't know all the facts about Waco and Ruby Ridge, but I keep wondering why the government even felt it was necessary to be there, let alone kill people.

This nation is a government of laws, not a government of personalities. There are remedies for almost all harms, save those that are ahead of the law such as genetic tinkering. Nobody has the right or need kill innocent people because they don't like one thing or another.

A lot of these issues, many of which are debated here, are simply stomping grounds for the overwrought.

If everybody would take a moment to walk in the other guy's shoes, to step back and think, to forgive small infractions, and live and let live, we would all be a lot better off.
