OT unions--Plus union leadership is an wholly owned subsidiary of the Democratic party. Just as with African American leadership, one party rule limits the options of workers. How many union members have 401ks as opposed to union pensions? As of the last time i looked, union pensions dont measure up. I may be behind the curve on this one as my knowlege is circa 1980's.

Norm, OT *** Unions

You said >unions provide a useful function but it may not worth the cost<

I think unionization or the threat thereof is what encourages companies to treat workers with some decency.

Without any unions at all it would be the individual against company management backed by the corporation.

Checks and balances.
