willco, I still think Big Blue treated me better because they were afraid of unionization. [It was tried a few times but failed]. I do not trust any organization with disproportionate power not to abuse it.

In some fields organized labor may be necessary--health care for one where workers are often grossly underpaid and mistreated. Unions were certainly needed during the first half of the 20th century. Of course, corruption plus the abdication of independence to the benefit of one political party hurt them going forward. Mike
