I held two shorts overnight, covered this morning, just went long two for a bounce, took profits on them also, going to water some new grass now, this is a trader's dream, IMO, watch out for this to turn back down, IMO, the news was bad.

Have you considered more layoffs and higher energy costs? People will cash out from house of cards.

Also, continued negativity is what is keeping the market afloat with a upward bias. There are still plenty of funds on the sidelines. If everyone was bullish there wouldn't be any buyers because everyone would be in and the market would have no place to go but down. Every time the market digests bad news and recovers, those on the sidelines rationalize, "if the market didn't crap out on THAT news, then maybe it's not going to and I need to jump in ?".

"No one knows and that is what fuels the market higher. The shorts are making it better for the bulls by shorting on every item of bad news. More fuel!"

BRCM showing a little of that fuel. Looks pretty wound up to go higher. I was short AH last night, covered this morning and now playing it both ways. Good trader today.
