I know of some people who have served time for securities fraud in the U.S. and they go back to doing the same things that landed them in jail in the first place after they are released. They think that they did nothing wrong and have the right to continue doing it. They see themselves as the victims and the lawmakers as the bad guys. The scammers never seem to clue in to the fact that there is a REAL victim out there and it's not them.
