however you have to take into account those that experienced multiple account blowouts and still never made it? So, there should be something that made a difference between those that eventually succeeded and those who never did. Winners managed to change themselves. I wouldn't go with assumption that multiple account blowouts is the only thing that could help. I am sure all those who went through this don't believe that it was the only way possible, too.

let me also quote Ed Seykota, this answer of his seems relevant to the topic. When asked what losing traders could do to transform themselves to winning traders, he said:
"Losing traders could do little to transform themselves to winning ones. This is kind of things winning traders do".

This reinforces the point: major difference between winning and losing trader is ability to change.
