Ah. You are right - I didn't add that. ICIX has, as of 12/31/00, about $2.5 billion of debt. Very little of it matures before 2006, but it may be that this will be retired as well. If so, the WCOM obviously won't have quite as much cash laying around.

Still, I think that the bond market's appetite for WCOM's new notes is a positive indication of the company's prospects. I'd like to see equity investors behaving as if they felt the same way.
