The good thing about Athlon 4 is that it undermines Intel's Pentium 4 advertising campaign, where they promanently display the numeral 4. In their ads, they are trying to impress "4" in the minds of consumers, so that when they go shopping for a new computer, they migrate to the Pentium 4. Simple brain washing, really. If AMD goes with Athlon 4, Intel will have to change their ads, and focus on "Pentium", rather than "4". But "Pentium" is starting to sound a little old and slow.
