Haynes hinted to the speculation or rather rumor about a possible SBC, WCOM deal or a deal with other potential companies and the CEO of SBC stated a firm NO. he stated that SBC is losing market share on their business customers as well as residential customers. He did say that they will have a good year despite lowered guidance but he was cautiously optimistic. In short if anyone is going to strike a deal with WCOM it won't be SBC.
