Why don't you stop whining about your concern for the poor and my supposed lack of it. You're full of shit. They don't have access to decent education now, so a painful transition period won't be much of a loss. The chance of a good payoff and a decent education may well be worth it.

What we have now is a crisis. The sooner we do something about it, the sooner all your poor brethren can benefit. 'Cause they aren't doing very well under your watchful, concerned eyes.

And fine, if you like, government should build schools and offer even more tax incentives to help shorten the crisis period with a view to getting out of the business. A crash program like the moon landing for a very worthy cause. But the powers that be will never admit that the system is seriously enough broken and that competition and market incentives may be better than the socialist monopoly in play now. It works in so many places, but not education?

Your crocodile tears and talk of more analysis before doing something makes you sound like a typical, class-war democrat. How long are your poor friends going to have to wait until you-who-know-best will allow them a decent chance at an education. Who are you? Bob Gephart? Ed Kennedy. I wonder how enamored they are of public schools.
