I have been straightforward with you, Karen.

Not necessarily evasion, merely lack of sufficient specificity for me to be sure just what your position is.

Karen

P.S. There was some left-over juice in my fridge. It had been there quite a while. I drank it anyway. Irresponsible, yes. Immoral? Ya gotta be kidding?

nothing is wrong with breastfeeding in public, outside of restaurants.

I wouldn't presume to speak for Karen, but this is the sort of thing I think is bothering her with your statements. Breastfeeding in a restaurant is not "wrong". Offensive to some, possibly. Controversial, apparently. But not "wrong".

That sort of judgment, without qualifiers such as "I think" or "in my opinion" is, I think, best held to a minimum in any attempt at reasonable conversation.
