Hi Don - Grace is the one who lives in Maryland. I'm in Virginia. I confess I haven't been keeping up with the news due to my foray into the archives - can't do everything. I had been keeping unread newspapers, and finally last night gave up and threw away a stack about three feet high after looking at the front pages. We get the Washington Post, the Washington Times, and on Sunday the Fairfax Journal, and I get the New York Times on Wednesday for the cooking section - too much information.

I do look at the front pages of the Washington Post and New York Times online every day, as well as the Wall Street Journal.

But I haven't read anything about starlings.

Paul Harvey told a story awhile back about a guy who bought a previously owned parrot at a pet store. Whenever the doorbell rang, the bird would say, "quick, hide!"

Harvey didn't indicate whether or not the the police were investigating the former owner.
