Jeff,

It is not uncommon for the government prosecutors to withhold stuff that the defense is entitled to in a trial situation. Oftentimes the stuff is deemed marginally relevant, and the other side afterwards tries to argue it was really of central importance. Other times the prosecutors and investigators are just hiding stuff in a "win at all costs" mentality. Waco was a good example of this....where the cult leader was a nut case and needed to be dealt with, but the government turned him and his followers into dinner meat and then lied about the incendiary nature of the devices they used. Just outright lied.

And here I once naively thought that only the President was entitled to do that.....

Have a great weekend fishing.....

Gee Jeff, you may become a librarian yet:-)

I am to the point where I absolutely expect the government to lie and do things that are not in my best interest. That way, I am not disappointed when they do bad shit and I am pleasantly surprised when they do good shit.

It is just plain stupid of them to not have handed over all of the documents. The crime will be if this makes it so that his sentence is not completed.
