It did, the killings stopped. But, of course, the Israeli govt. does not accept the "biased" UN troops in its soil. So, the blood rolls on...

BTW the Greeks and Turks keep accusing eachother, and I don't know who is worst! They all committed slaughters. The only winners are the Brits that keep their bases!
