SB,

Like everywhere else, California needs to quit wasting energy. Lights are left on, everyone drives to work one to a car, traffic lights are not synchronized.

Solutions are: turning lights off. Insulating houses. Window fans at night instead of air-conditioning. Turning off air-conditioners during the day. Car pooling. One way streets with synchronized lights.

California, and every other industrialized area, could cut their energy usage by 50%. And they will- when the price of energy gets high enough.

Bush will never talk about this, because his energy buddies would lose billions of dollars if he did.
