CNBC and its competition?

Competition is from nightly business news and Wall street week, not from others such as CNNfn. It is basically philosophical direction in the editorial content(talking heads' conclusion in investments). CNBC and CNNfn reports carnage on the market, which scares off the audiences. Advertising revenue falls flat during the pull back periods in the market.

On the other hand, nightly business news and Wall street week emphasize big money investment strategy and actual recommendations over time. They both ask and report the current status of previous picks. This gives the audience the true view of the market, which is there are always some one who makes money while others lost money.

An editorial change would make CNBC a steady performer in advertising revenue, and possibly growth in hard times as well as good times. It should be directly controlled by the matrix management.
