These incestuous "research" reports are all mostly the same. They're all conducted by the industry, and for the industry. And gee whiz, guess what, the results are always soooo hugely optimisitc for the industry. It's like all the BS predictions that Forrester put out about the internet and the Web. They knew at the time it was complete bs, and so did anyone with half a brain. They plucked numbers out of thin air. Sure enough, just about all of it turned out to be drastically wrong, ridiculuously over-optimistic, but who cares?? Who ever went back and checked?
