The Federal Reserve lowered the key federal funds rate by 50 basis points to 4.0 percent from 4.5 percent Tuesday. The Fed also lowered the discount rate by 50 basis points to 3.5 percent from 4.0 percent.

Pete, <P3 is also heat limited (the lowering of max die temp and up the voltage shows that as well). At a max die of 95C, P3 stops at 866 or 933MHz,>

Is this the truth, or are you just making up "facts" as you go along? My new Pentium III at home runs 1 GHz just fine, and the heatsink is very cool to the touch, which implies that the processor is definitely not heat-limited.
