Neo, Paula Jones alleged that she had been shown disfavor because she refused Clinton. CLinton had denied having affairs so when Tripp got her conversation with Monica taped, Starr had him in an alleged lie cause he had testified in the Paula Jones case that he had not had affairs. Starr didn't originally have the Paula Jones case....she had her own attorneys.( How a person like Paula could have afforded "attorneys" is questionable and it is fairly certain Richard Mellon Scaithe paid the bill.) Starr was the Whitewater prosecutor and didn't originally have the Jones case. The Jones case was a private law suit originally. That is my recollection of the mess.
