No way. I don't agree with Volcker about anything. He's like that other fellow, Davidson. They're both tricky. They say the things that tend to allay the fears of the acceptors, but that won't fool natural law.

Volcker's quote was, "Individual self-defence helps spread distress". He is saying that individuals in an attempt to save what they have move in panic and therefore create disorderly markets. Volcker wants to eliminate the disorderly markets by eliminating the ability of individuals to defend themselves. What Volcker wouldn't admit is that the source of disorder is government pretense to knowledge as seen in continuing and pervasive interventionism.
