BP, don't forget, MRV could also attempt to buy the converts in the open market, first.... thus bringing as much back in before they "force" that conversion....

THE SPINOFF IPO MARKET IS DEAD........RIGHT?

Well, let's look at RSTN, the spinoff from CS
Went out on Feb 16 and closed that day at $13.06
Has been as high as $21.20, and presently trades at $17.70,
some 28% above the first day!

In comparison, LMNE on Feb 16 closed at $9.46 and is
presently trading at $4.72!

How has CS fared in the meantime. It closed at $15.09 on
Feb 16 and is now trading around $17.50

I've forgotten how many RSTN shares go to each CS holder,
but it looks like it is shaping up to be a good deal....!

Is if fair to say that CS know more about how to do this kind of thing than MRVC does (how is that for feeding you lines, Coach?)

Namaste!

Jim

<Benny, if the bonds are called when the stock is trading at over $13+ something, the conversion price, they will be converted by the holders. MRVC will issue stock to the bond holders and the debt will be retired. It will NOT cost MRVC any money out of pocket to call the bonds and thus essentially FORCE conversion.>

Bridge Player: What you refer to is UTOPIA. How long will MRVC remain above 13+ if bondholders convert and sell? Remember, bonds were bought as investment for the 5% return. See some of Webdrones old posts. Supposedly the bondholders are the ones carrying the big short position(once again according to some of Webdrones old posts).

If those assumptions are true, then the bondholders will accept their money back and not convert without a substantial premium. If they truly are the short position, then the high price will still be meaningless to them. Therefor, they will want cold cash. Cash that Noam will not want to part with.
