Like most huge issues, there is probably several contributing factors to this "energy crisis". Greed is most likely a common link to all of the factors.

We are the most populous and wealthiest state in the nation so it's no shock that we are being targeted .

What makes me angriest is the utes selling off their power generating companies and siphoning off all the money received from those sales. My power bills have not been bad as we are very conserving in my house. I mentioned earlier that I'm on a grid that is exempt from blackouts as I live a few blocks from the city services complex. We have gotten together on my street and shared conservation ideas. My bills are the lowest on the block if figured per person usage.

There are many people playing games with us and it's coming from all sides. The truth hasn't surfaced yet in a single package but I think it's safe to say that it'll be colored in green!!! LOL

I heard that Ca. produces 45% of this country's food so everyone who doesn't think our problem will affect them is dreaming. Our water shortage will also affect the food costs as the farmers in the valley all use irrigation from the central canals.....which also need power to maintain.....a double whammy there. Combine that with the increased gasoline costs averaged into shipping and you end up with Americans about to embark on diets!!!!

My son lives in Texas and tells me that OPEC is being blamed for the increases in gasoline in that state. As he told me, "These rednecks don't realize that the U.S. is part of OPEC! "

Who is getting blamed in the southeastern part of the country?

There are valid reasons for blaming many different entities but i don't think any one is wholly responsible. I do feel certain that we are being exploited by many to obtain and accomplish their personal agenda.
