Funny, but your post reminds me of the time I was driving Coast Highway 1, north out of Monterey, California. Coast 1 is a winding, hilly, narrow, 2-laner (just barely) which snakes along the Pacific Ocean. On this occasion, I saw a couple of bicyclists. I smiled and thought, "How charming!" Then I saw a few more bicyclists, and I again smiled and thought "How charming."

To make a long story short, a couple and a few more bicyclists became hundreds and perhaps thousands of bicyclists. This went on for hours and hours and more hours. The sky grew dark. I was no longer smiling, and it became anything but charming.

I guess it was some sort of very large cycling club, but really! What could they possibly have been thinking?

Please, don't get me started on skateboards.
