I'm not a historian and I don't really want to get into a pissing match on this point but my recollection is that Nixon made it his war in a number of ways, not the least of which was bombing Cambodia.

Similarly, though evidence continues to suggest there has been manipulation of supply, this is the past and by focusing on it Davis is not serving the state well.
