A pickup truck that was coming up the street swerved to miss Muffy as she crossed the street, then screeched to a halt near the wreckage.

It was one of those service utility trucks that small businesses use on customer calls. It had a rack attached over the bed of the truck. On the rack were rows upon rows of gutter material. Downspouts, angles, attachments. It looked like the driver was on his way to install an entire house worth of gutters.

The driver got out, and ran over to the man who Muffy had helped lean against the wall. "We've gotta' get you outta' here!", he said. Then, he guided the injured man into his pickup, and they drove off.

Muffy watched these actions with curiosity. "These guys know each other? I wonder what they're hiding? Leaving the scene of an accident? Uh-oh. They're going to have some explaining to do to the authorities", she mused.

The driver of the other wrecked vehicle was finally visible in the light of the moon. His hair almost glowed in the moonlight. It was almost a sylver color.

"My name's Muffy", she said, staring at a paper the man held out to her."Who were those men, and why did they leave so suddenly?"

"Their names are not important, Muffy", he said reassuringly,"But we know who they are, and we'll pick them up later. Have you ever seen anything like this before?"

Muffy instinctively looked at his crotch, and then realized he meant the paper in his right hand. Peering at it intently, and trying to keep the blood from rushing to her cheeks, she noticed it seemed to be a photocopy of some official document.

"Yes", she said, "It looks like a share certificate, but the copying is so bad it's hard to read. The ink is very faded too."

"There are four million of these photocopies out there," said the man, "And we have to get them all back before anyone notices they are missing. Help us and we'll forget that little indiscretion of yours....."

Muffy stepped backed in confusion. Her mind raced with anxiety and she mumbled........
