**** Ridicule of the President ****

Der Spiegel is consistent in that they ridicule a lot of politicians, German, French, British, American, Canadien, & Japanese. All politicians of the world have equality in this magazine.

Now show me a Chinese , N. Korean or Iranian Magazine that ridicules its leader with a cover story and pictures. I believe it would be a single, solitary and last issue.

The Europeans know full well that conservation of energy will yield results much quicker then bringing more production on line.Consevation is free, production is not.

I have read some very insightful articles how the Israelies have become the world leaders in water conservation and efficient usage of that base commodity. If the same kind of thinking were applied to our energy problems, there would be no energy crunch.

If you look at the military escalation in the middle east, (Israel vs the Palestinians), one comes to wonder why Bush and his administration is saying and doing nothing. Does he want to see a full blown war take place before taking some action?

Bush is now solidly into his Presidency and there is no more blaming of Clinton for current problems. Either he takes charge or takes the heat for the failure of his policies.
