Coding rules. We still code in COBOL where I work. lol !!

Like I said, the PALM is nothing more than a gadget. My brother has a WAP phone. He feels the same way. Nothing more than a toy to show to friends. He's in international sales, and he never uses it for checking e-mails. Too slow and hard to read.

Troubles at hand for Palm.
Handheld maker could become buyout target.

lol. With a 3 to 4 billion market cap, possibly half the cash reserves after $300 million write-down on products and components it can't sell and real estate charges... if PALM is bought, it won't be higher than Friday's close IMO.

Could end up being like the ISLD buyout by CWB. ISLD settled for $340 million, or $3.40 per share.

palm must be getting desperate. you can get the VII for $100 after rebate now. that explains the horrendous inventory problems they have.
