<Why would a shopping mall operator want people to surf the web instead of spend money at the brick and mortar stores in the mall? >

Carranza2, Because I want a dunny, a seat, a drink, a snack [or meal], and I want to be able to get email and see what's on the Web. If one mall doesn't do it, another will [if it's cheap enough to provide - they'll probably want it for their tenants anyway, so why not make it available to customers as well].

It's all part of the wireless world.

No flies on PCS!
