Hi Clint,

It turned out to be a great call on the storage stocks.

>>July.

I am not prepared to call for that yet. I need to see a break of the recent high at 2240. The technicals on a lot of stocks are starting to look good though. I don't think we an get to the 2600-2700 level without some participation from CSCO and INTC and they don't seem to want to cooperate right now. MSFT should help the COMPX get part of the way there. The hype around X-box should help.

Brocade eyes return to growth in autumn
TOKYO, May 22 (Reuters) - Brocade Communications Systems Inc (Nasdaq:BRCD - news), which makes switches tying storage networks together, said on Tuesday it expects a return to strong growth rates, perhaps in the autumn, after a setback early in the year. ``I do predict that we'll return to strong growth rates. I'm reluctant to predict when, but all indications are that we should see the U.S. economy start to pick up momentum in the fall,'' Brocade Chairman and Chief Executive Greg Reyes told Reuters after a news conference.

In its latest quarter, the company posted a drop in revenues of about 30 percent from the prior quarter, as fast-growing storage system providers were hit by the information technology slump despite predictions they would be spared due to the cost savings they offered customers.

Reyes said, however, there were signs of a rebound on the horizon.

He said companies had apparently been holding back on IT spending from the start of the year, but were likely to return to the storage systems market in the next few months as they run out of spare capacity.

``I believe that certainly by the end of the June quarter companies will have to start spending again, because they will have consumed any excess capacity they had,'' he said. ``I'm cautiously optimistic.''

He played down a drop in the January-March quarter in Brocade's share of the market for storage network connection equipment, where it still holds the number-one spot, and predicted it would gain share in the second half.

The company is due to expand its product line-up later this year with the launch of a high-availability core switch.
