Since there is a distinction made between "He" (Jacob) and "our fathers" (Joseph and his bros) It is not unreasonable to assume Steven was referring to the later and not the former" CHUCKLE! You say that ACTS 7:15, 16 might refer to the burial of Joseph and his brothers! How much damage would you do to an English language which is already being damaged by the "translators"? Now listen close; I am going to point this out S L O W L Y... YOU say it was Joseph and his brothers that was buried (we will just leave Jacob dangling on the front of the conjunction--just died and already in limbo!). But ACTS 7:16 states clearly it was bought by ABRAHAM! Now pause for a minute (maybe take a couple), and spin your bible to JOSHUA 24, where you read the the burial place of Joseph (in Shechem) was bought by J A C O B!! Is Jacob's name Abraham?? JOSHUA 24 32 "And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph." Now, you don't think Joseph was buried in the same place as Jacob who bought the plot?!! Or was it ABRAHAM who bought the plot?!! Is that rope tight enough for you?! Too bad you didn't have the grace to accept the facts. You are simply heaping coals on your own head by such infantile and useless attacks on God. I attacked God by quoting His words about spreading on people's faces and making them eat it, and about extorting money?? How do you figure that, Greg? If God's words are noble, then why does it bother you when they are quoted?? Why do you always lash out at me when I quote words that you really ought to love?? I remember you lashed out at me when I quoted his murder of the 42 kids when they were just being kids, too. Why is it that I am to be resented for the words of another?? (And you STILL believe that Matthew told the truth when he said that Jesus rode a colt AND an ass into town at the same time? Rather ostentatious arrival, for one so meek as Jesus!)
