Well, as they say, if everyone thought alike we would everybody except one would be redundant.

It's been fun, but I've got to run.

Till later.

Okay, let me see whether I understand where we have agreement.

1. If Ashcroft is violating the law, he should stop what he's doing. Agreed?

2. People who enter into government service are not required to abandon their religious principles and beliefs as a condition of working for the government. Agreed?

3. It is wrong for a supervisor to discriminate against any employer because of gender, race, disability, marital status, or national origin. Agreed?

4. It is wrong for a supervisor to discriminate against any employee because of their religious beliefs. Agreed?

5. It is wrong for a supervisor to favor any employee because of gender, race, disability, marital status, or national origin. Agreed?

6. It is wrong for a supervisor to favor any employee because of their religious beliefs. Agreed?

7. It is a part of human nature for people to tend to favor those who mirror their behaviors and beliefs -- for avid golfers, for example, to feel more comfortable with people who can talk about golf than with people who call golf a silly waste of time and those who play it moronic. Agreed?

8. Supervisors have an obligation to try to overcome this tendency of human nature when dealing with their subordinates and to treat all subordinates equally without regard for whether the subordinates are like or unlike the supervisor. Right?

9. Number 8 is sometimes hard to do. Right?

I think I'll stop here and see how well agreed we are so far.

Bedtime here. Hope you have happy dreams.
