Hi Mark,
I just finished loaded W2K on my 2nd hard drive to duel boot w/ ME.
So far so good. One question though, is there a W2K equivalent to
msconfig?

This is just a WAG, but is your email program set to check for new mail every "xxx" amount of time? That might account for the outbound messages.
