We would be alon way towards being independent. For years the northwest and Ca helped each other through various energy situations. The system worked until the power generators were sold to private companies.......Also, we didn't have this situation till Bush got in. FERC did it's job.........Bush has alot of lemming Republicans who need to believe that the environmentalists caused the problem. Truth is the environmentalists were against the deregulation bill that was passed in 1996. The Republican Gov Pete Wilson favored the bill and voted for it along with all the other Republicans in the state gov't.
