On other topic discussed before in reference to TER, CMOS and other ATE companies taking big chunk of budget in testing, there was a discussion on System-on-chip movement.
Some EBN and other articles suggested some sort of development which will radically change the cost structure.

Do you know of any such change underway in case of ATE equipment makers. CMOS has good direction in that with NewMillenium, LogicVision and Fluence. Also LTXX is well known for SOC testers.

And on side note a lot of companies seem to be offering convertible notes. What to make of it? Does it mean companies see rates going up and economy picking up? Kind of reverse of IPO in hot market.
