yeah, I remember that...gold ran at the end of May last year, too. Seems that it often moves in january and may.

The largest jewelry show in the word starts on June 1st and each year around the same time give or take depending on memorial Day, etc. This is not a show to just see what is new. It is 5000+ vendors selling to the trade only for next fall's holiday season. Do you believe that could have any effect on the gold price towards the end of May?

I am not sure how many dollars in orders are placed then but we do most of our fall buying then as do the large chains, etc. The price of gold products in most buying contracts are typically based ont he day of the order and not delivery. That may be negotiated but it has to be negotiated when one makes the transaction not later<G> Granted, a lot of diamonds, colored stones, watches are bought at the show but there is a huge amount of gold in various forms such as chain, rings, bullion to do one's own castings, etc.
