If that is the case, then you have described a scenario as to why the run in gold is occurring now, and chances are it will fall after June 1, or before. If this evenings spike was the peak, no one should be too surprised.

Since you know this, why don't you take advantage of it and be sure to not buy during this time when the price gets manipulated? There are plenty of other suckers hanging around.

The whole thing smacks of what the gas boys do to us every June, too. The price ALWAYS falls in the fall, when we drive fewer miles.

The best time to buy gold for years now has been the last few days of December, imo.
