Re: "The two workstation models, W6000 and W8000, are dual-processor capable and will ship with the new Intel Pentium 4 Xeon processors at speeds of 1.4GHz, 1.5GHz and 1.7GHz. "

This must be a TYPO

It should read : "The two workstation models, W6000 and W8000, are dual-processor capable and will ship with the new AMD AthWiper4US processors at speeds of 1.4GHz, 1.5GHz and 1.7GHz. "

survivin, Compaq is still a fat corporate pig, full of old boy cronyism, much like intel. Waste galore, bbuilt on the fat corporate profits of years gone by they will soon fall into an abyss of losses since they cannot master a simple lean strategy as Dell has.
the longer they wait the worse it will be and when they fall they will fall hard. Like Apple they will become a footnote...unless they change now.

It needs to change totally, much like Intel
