Indeed, see response to double-dash.

In fact, on a percentage basis, I would have to say that there are far more hypocrites who pretend to be moral on religious grounds, but whose behavior has little to do with that very religion than there are genuine atheists who are immoral in the sense of not living to a moral code. Quite the contrary, those who have had to create their own moral code because they were unwilling to accept that given to them by a religion, seem on the whole to be quite serious about the code they have adopted.
