Thanks Art. Over 90% of out kwh comes from antiquated oil fired generators. We are exempt from a bunch of federal regs because we are in the middle of nowhere. I am too far from the grid to hook up so I have no choice. My electric bill when I was on the grid was $225-$300 month. We rent now and cut way back on electric by using propane for hot water and stove. That alone cut the electric bill to $100 month but added about $40 in propane. A good trade off. PK
