WS: Sorry, I over stated the current level of cache memory However, you were completed wrong on what a XEON chip is. My statement will be correct as soon as Intel releases the next release of XEON chip. intel.com "In the future, faster clock speeds and larger cache configurations will provide further headroom for computation, graphical and I/O-intensive workloads" It seems Intel will bury Athlon in a deeper hole with the additional extra cache which I assumed incorrectly was already on this version of the XEON chip. john
